Imira has closed an important pan-Latam deal for the series “Larva”, about two comical worm-like creatures who get into all sorts of adventures, causing chaos wherever they go. The deal is for the Pay TV Disney XD channel.

Award-winning library of Sandra, The Fairytale Detective apps released. Imira Entertainment, Spain’s leading production and distribution company specialising in youth programming, has launched a library of five brand new apps based on its hit magical animated series, Sandra, The Fairytale Detective (52 x 13´), in partnership with RTVE’s interactive division. Created by Imira Entertainment co-founder Myriam Ballesteros and developed by Spanish digital development company Five Flames Mobile, the app collection has just been awarded ‘Most Innovative App’ at the international multiplatform focussed 3D Wire market in Spain last weekend.

Norwegian children’s entertainment producer CreaCon Group has appointed Spain’s leading childrens and youth production and distribution specialist, Imira Entertainment to represent the television and DVD rights to CreaCon’s popular animated pre-school series City of Friends in Latin America, Spain, Italy and Portugal. Under the agreement, Imira will represent two 26 x 10 minute series and two thirty-minute specials of City of Friends.

Broadcast Partners Rai Fiction and RTVE Join As Companies Begin Production of the First 52 x 11 Episodes of the Creepy Sitcom
Production and Distribution partners Atlantyca Entertainment, Imira Entertainment, and Inspidea along with new broadcast and participation partners Rai Fiction (Italy), GD Animation Fund and RTVE (Spain) are set to commence production on the comedy adventure animated series Bat Pat (52 x 11’). The announcement was made jointly by Atlantyca Entertainment’s Head of Animation Department and Executive Producer, Caterina Vacchi, Imira Entertainment’s, CEO Sergi Reitg and Andrew Ooi, Managing Director of Inspidea.

Funding on four animated series from Imira Entertainment
GD Entertainment Fund, a boutique investment Fund specializing in entertainment projects and digital content, has signed its first multi-project deal to co-finance a slate of original Imira Entertainment programming. The deal will complete the funding of two animated properties: Lucky Fred (104 x 12’); and Bat Pat (52 x 11´) which are now greenlit for production, as well as covering a percentage of the budget for new shows Escape Hockey (26 x 26’) and Mondo Yan (52 x 12’) which was showcased at Cartoon Forum last week.

Animated series sells to Cartoon Network LatAm along with multiple European territories

Imira Entertainment holds distribution rights to Larva for Europe and Latin America.
