IMIRA ENTERTAINMENT WINNING IN LATIN AMERICA

Imira Entertainment, Spain’s leading production and distribution company specialising in youth programming, has reinforced its strong position in the Latin American market ahead of the LA Screenings.

Brazil shows a continuing appetite for Imira content, with local broadcaster TV Escola renewing its agreement for the first 26 episodes of Millimages’ artistic bunny Louie (39 x 26’), and acquiring a further 13 episodes also for free TV. Brazil’s TV Cultura has acquired the whimsical one-off The Wish Fish (1 x 74’), and The Elf Who Stole Christmas (1 x 65’), which takes place in a tiny village in the Pyrenees Mountains. Rounding off the trio of specials picked up by the broadcaster from Imira is Stella and the Star of the Orient (1 x 90’), a coproduction between Kinderfilm and ZDF.

Ecuador’s RTV has taken season one of the DQ Entertainment and ZDF Enterprises co-production The Jungle Book (52 x 11´), seasons one and two of Wicked Science (52 x 26′) produced by Jonathan M. Shiff Productions, FFC, Film Victoria, Network Ten, ZDF and ZDF Enterprises and also the movie (1X90´), as well as a renewal for the classic IMPS/Peyo property The Smurfs (163 X 26´), for Ecuador Free TV.

KM Services in Panama has scooped up timeless classic The Smurfs (52 x 26’) and the adventures of Lucky Fred (52 x 12’), an Imira Entertainment co-production in conjunction with Televisió de Catalunya and RAI Fiction. .
